What is Bowen Therapy?
The Bowen Technique is a physical therapy which uses a gentle rolling action applied at very precise points on the movment of soft tissue in a specific way using the thumbs & forefingers. It can be performed through light clothing or directly onto the skin. This movement stimulates the tissue & nerve pathways, creating focus to the brain. Where did this technique begin?

As the popularity of the treatment grew, Tom Bowen was able to set up a full-time clinic in a retired medical practice, he use to treat as many as 60-100 clients per day.
How long does Bowen Therapy take to work?
Some people experience relief from the first treatment, with many experiencing reactions over the next 3-5 days, as the body accepts the therapy and begins to realign itself. Acute conditions, like sporting injuries can respond quickly, whereas long-standing conditions like chronic back pain may several treatments.
There is no fixed course or standard approach as everyone’s needs are different although 3 sessions are recommended to achieve the best results.
